The food was great! I didn't have much of a wait but I did go around noon. I would give this place 5 stars but the server was so/so which is whatever. The food made up for that. I'd definitely recommend this to couples and families.

I’ve tried Mackenzie River twice now and I’m just not impressed. My husband and I have yet to find a meal that is worth the price. The items we have tried have always been okay, but nothing we would go out of our way for. I would definitely rather spend my money elsewhere. I would also say the service left a lot to be desired both times. The menu doesn’t feel cohesive at all, either. The environment is very relaxed and comfortable and comfortable though, which is definitely nice. I’m not saying we won’t be back, but this will definitely not be somewhere we seek out.

Wait staff was friendly. Food was mediocre. We ordered the pretzels as an appetizer. They had no flavor and the cheese dipping sauce was a little running with little flavor. No one ate them. I ordered fish tacos on white corn tortillas. I chose the batter-dipped deep-fried option. The tortillas were stiff and leather-like to the point of being difficult to fold and take a bite. The fried fish was cold and came pre-broken into tiny bite-sized pieces. Weird. How long had the both the fish and tortillas both been cooked sitting around wairing for me to show up at 6pm and order them? Too long.
